Master builder Michael Stevens worked at the Fender custom shop for a while and made only a few of these guitars as a tribute to a friend of his who’d passed away.
It’s got a nice, deep tone; I used it on the “Siberian Khatru” cover that’s coming out.
Mike Keneally
Mike Keneally has used it on many recordings – the song “Beautiful” on “Sluggo!” features the LJ throughout, including the closing solo, and it can also be heard in sections of the original studio recording of “Lightnin’ Roy.”
This LJ is also heard on the guitar solo at the end of the version of “Siberian Khatru” which Keneally recorded with Kevin Gilbert for the “Tales From Yesterday” Yes tribute album.
